years ago, Panda Food Products, Inc., opened its doors in the Bronx,
near Hunts Point Market. We started packing TOFU, ALFALFA,
BEAN SPROUTS, and SHALLOTS with only a handful of people.
We
were outgrowing our facility quickly and realized a move was
necessary. The opportunity for expansion was found in Goshen,
New York. Here, in 1989, we started a state-of-the-art
production line for TOFU and ALFALFA. At this time, Panda Food
Products, Inc., was also importing SHALLOTS via boat containers from
France and Holland. We were one of the first in the U.S.A. to
peel shallots. This process is done completely manually to
guarantee an excellent, ready-to-use product. Our PEELED
SHALLOTS are packed in a one gallon (5 Lbs.), reusable and
recyclable jar.
As
of today, we import only the freshest and best SHALLOTS available on
the market. We carry SHALLOTS year-round. Packing to
your specific needs; including private labeling, is what we do best
at Panda Food Products.
Among the many retail
products of “Lucinda,” Panda Food Products packages PEARL ONIONS, SHALLOTS,
AND CIPOLINI ONIONS.
On a daily basis, we
ship in climate-controlled trucks, our specialty products to terminal
markets, foodservice providers, and supermarkets. We ship all over the East
Coast and even as far as Texas and Chicago. No distance is too far because
we stand 100% behind our quality products.
